I picked up these maple (at least I think they are maple – but don’t hold me to it!!) dresser and bedside table at a local auction this spring.  The pieces were in excellent condition, so I did not hesitate to bid on them….I am starting to learn a few things about fixing minor things on furniture, but if there are major issues with a piece I tend to stay clear of them (at least for the time being anyway!).  As you can see, I decided to paint them blue….

I unfortunately forgot to get a before picture of the dresser, but below is the before of the bedside table (the dresser was the same finish).

Some of the hardware was missing on both pieces, so I replaced it all.  I used two different styles of hardware, but in the same finish…

…..and (as usual!) I did some heavy distressing in areas to give the pieces a bit more character.

Our youngest, Connor, was hoping that these were for his bedroom as he loves blue….however, I will be posting these pieces up of for sale in my online Shop shortly.

I hope you all have been enjoying this sunny and hot weather we have been having!
